FAQ

Panel Upgrade Questions

How much does a panel upgrade cost in Ontario?+

Most 100A to 200A upgrades in the GTA run $1,500–$2,500 all-in, including the ESA permit, inspection, and labour. Larger upgrades (200A to 400A) are $2,500–$4,000. We give a fixed price upfront — no surprises.

How long does a panel upgrade take?+

A standard 100A to 200A upgrade takes 4–8 hours. You'll be without power for a portion of the day. We coordinate with the ESA inspector to minimize downtime.

Do I need to notify my utility company?+

Yes — we handle that too. Utility notification, permit pulling, and ESA inspection are all part of our process.

Will a panel upgrade increase my home value?+

Yes. A modern 200A panel is expected by most home buyers and appraisers, and is often flagged by home inspectors on older homes. It's one of the highest-ROI electrical upgrades you can make.

Can I get an EV charger and panel upgrade at the same time?+

Absolutely — and it's usually more cost-effective. We can do both in a single visit, pulling one combined permit and minimizing the disruption to your day.
